Api yang paling panas yaitu api hitam (serta konon tuturnya adalah type api yang ada di neraka).

أُوقِدَ عَلَى النَّارِ أَل�'فَ سَنَةٍ حَتَّى اح�'مَرَّت�' ثُمَّ أُوقِدَ عَلَي�'هَا أَل�'فَ سَنَةٍ حَتَّى اب�'يَضَّت�' ثُمَّ أُوقِدَ عَلَي�'هَا أَل�'فَ سَنَةٍ حَتَّى اس�'وَدَّت�' فَهِيَ سَو�'دَاءُ مُظ�'لِمَةٌ


“Api dinaikkan suhunya sepanjang seribu th. hingga beralih jadi merah, lantas dinaikkan lagi sepanjang seribu th. sampai beralih jadi putih, lalu dinaikkan lagi sepanjang seribu th. hingga menghitam, serta tersebut yang dimaksud dengan hitam legam”. (At-Tirmidzi). Sungguh benar sabda Rasulullah SAW!
